Fever

As a rule, i will keep going and be the last one standing but this time the fever won and I felt asleep out of exhaustion on my old friend the komodo dragon. (Note my red cheeks).
En règle générale je suis toujours la dernière debout mais cette fois ci la fièvre a eu raison de moi et je me suis écroulée de fatigue sur mon bon vieux komodo. (voyez mes joues bien rouges).

May in Amsterdam

Hello! It has been a while...We finally digged out the camera from the closet and we are back in business!
I must say I love the big city! They are two things amazing me continuously; the bells from the churches and the sirens from the ambulances.

Bonjour! Ca fait un petit moment...nous avons enfin sorti l'appareil photo au fond du placard et nous sommes de retour!
J'adore la grande ville! Il y a deux choses qui m'épate continuellement; le son des cloches des églises et les sirènes des ambulances.

Chilling out at the terrace of a cafe. Tranquille à la terrasse d'un café.

Lunch at the park. We try to go everyday. I can run freely after the ducks trying to feed them my sandwich while mama gets sunburned.
Picnique au parc. Nous essayons d'y aller tous les jours. Je peux courir à ma guise derriere les canards pour tenter de leur donner de mon sandwich pendant que maman attrape des coups de soleil.Going mad with teddy while listening to Lily Allen before going to bed. Wow!!!
Moment de folie avec teddy en ecoutant Lily Allen avant d'aller me coucher. Wow!!!Colors, colors colors...colors on my clothes? It was not me, you must be mistaken.
Couleurs, couleurs, couleurs...couleurs sur mes vetements? Ce n'est pas moi, vous devez vous tromper.

Settling down?

Yes, yes! I know we have been slacking but we have a good excuse. We have been busy!
We have moved (again). This time it is for good I have heard!
We are now in Amsterdam and it is great! I love it!
Oui oui! Je sais, nous avons été faignants, mais nous avons une très bonne excuse. Nous étions très occupés. Nous avons déménagé (une fois de plus). Cette fois c'est la bonne, nous ne bougeons plus m'a-t-on dit!
Nous sommes à Amsterdam et c'est génial! J'adore!

Here is Oma. She finally makes it to the blog and you will see more of her because she is gonna come and see me in Amsterdam often!!! Voici Oma. Elle fait enfin son entrée sur le blog et vous allez la voir souvent car elle viendra me voir souvent à Amsterdam!!!

Me and Oma again. We are looking at all the family photos she has on the wall. There are loads from me ;-) Encore Oma et moi. Nous regardons toutes les photos de famille sur le mur. Il y en a beaucoup de moi;-)

This is Mama with Noelle, Opa's friend. Mamie, papi, maman and me drove all the way from Brittany to Maastricht...9h...looooooonnnnggg...Opa and Noelle were waiting for us with drinks and loads of delicious food!
La, c'est maman avec Noelle, l'amie de Opa. Mamie, papi, maman et moi avons fait en voiture le trajet de Bretagne à Maastricht...9h....looooooonnnnggg...Opa et Noelle nous attendaient avec les rafraichissements et plein à manger!

You thought I was always smiling? WRONG!!! Vous qui pensiez que je souris tout le temps? ERREUR!!!

After Maastricht, our first stop in Holland to see my grandparents; back in the car and off to the BIG city! note that by then mama and I had no idea what the apartment looked like. Papa only sent us the photo of the 'view' (below). Another 2h in the car.... Mamie & papi played tourists while we were arranging everything in our new home. Time was pressing because Queen's day was only days away and we were supposed to have a big party. Nobody has taken pictures of the new apartment yet...can you believe it? I think mama does not know where the camera is...

Après Maastricht, notre premier arrêt en Hollande pour dire bonjour à mes grand parents; de nouveau en voiture. Cette fois direction la 'grande' ville! notez que maman et moi n'avions toujours aucune idée de à quoi ressemble l'appartement. Papa nous avait seulement envoyé une photo de la 'vue' (ci-dessous). Et hop, 2h de voiture....Mamie et papi ont joué aux touristes alors que nous essayions d'arranger toutes nos affaires dans notre nouveau chez nous. Le temps pressait un peu car Queen's day arrivait à grands pas et c'est une fête à ne pas manquer. Nous n'avons toujours pas de photos de l'appartement à vous montrer...le croyez-vous? Je ne suis pas sure que maman sache ou se trouve l'appareil photo...

Queen's day - On the 30th of April is National Day in The Netherlands. It is a big big big party! They celebrate the birthday of the Queen (not the present one, the one before, Queen Juliana). Everyone wears orange and many people are in the streets selling all those useless things that accumulated in their attic over the year. Mamie & papi decided to leave that day to avoid the crowds. We went to the park with Floor, Sam, Danielle & Jeroen. We had a great time, but short. Mama decided it was a good time to be sick. We had to bring her home and put her to bed. Next year we will go and sell stuff on the street she says. We have only been there a week and already we have junk in the attic. Unbelievable!
Queen's day - Le 30 avril est la fête nationale Hollandaise. C'est une grande grande fête! Ils célèbrent l'anniversaire de la reine (Celui de la reine précédente, la reine Juliana). Tout le monde est en orangé et il y a une multitude de monde dans les rues qui vendent toutes ces choses qui se sont accumulées au grenier dans la boite 'ça peut servir' depuis des années. Mamie et papi sont repartis ce jour la car ils voulaient éviter la foule. Nous sommes allés au parc avec, Floor, Sam, Danielle et Jeroen. C'était génial, mais court. Maman n'a pas trouvé de meilleur moment pour tomber malade et nous avons du la ramener à la maison et la mettre au lit. L'année prochaine nous irons vendre nos puces dit-elle. Cela ne fait que une semaine que nous ici et déjà nous avons un tas de bric-à-brac dans le grenier. Incroyable!
